Billecart-Salmon has been quietly bringing a touch of glamour to events over the past decade. One of the last family-owned Champagne Houses, they rise above many other Champagne at the same price for its intriguing depth and delicacy. For those in the know, the Billecart Salmon Rose is an essential celebration wine – although, beware, it is often sold by allocation.
Tasting Note
This pale pink champagne has flecks of gold in the light with a persistent mousse. On the nose: aromas of red fruits and hints of citrus. A well-balanced acidic and delicate palate of strawberries and raspberries leads to a brioche mid-palate. On the finish: a hint of spice and a continued theme of red berries and citrus. It is no surprise this rosé is so renowned.
